Born and raised in Portland, Maine Wrestled throughout high school and continued on at Norwich University. Trained with Team Elite in Mass before making his move to South Florida to train full time with ATT. Mike is a UFC Veteran and holds the AFC 145# Title. Mike was the #1 ranked Lightweight in bodogFIGHT. Mike shocked the mma world when he beat Champion Uriah Faber for the WEC 145# Title - Nov. 5th, 2008 and has since defended the belt two more times including a re-match against Uriah. Mike is currently the #1 Featherweight in the world.
