Glover Teixeira and Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira both finished their opponents with strikes. Glover via TKO in the 2nd and Alex “Cowboy” with a crushing KO early in the third round.
Rashid Magomedov and Gleison Tibau both came away with big wins over Blackzilian fighters Gilbert “Durinho” Burns and Abel Trujillo. Rashid displayed precise technical striking on his way to handing the Brazilian his first career loss, while Gleison Tibau picked up his 17th career UFC win in 26 UFC bouts. That mark (17 wins) ties Tibau with Michael Bisping for 3rd on all-time wins for the promotion. Fantastic job by “Tibau man”!!
Fabio Maldonado and Gasan Umalatov both came up short losing via unanimous decions.
